With production levels of 120,000 V8 trucks a year back then Ford would need 240,000 C1TE heads per year. It would take many sets of patterns to make that many castings. What you are seeing are pattern numbers so if a problem arose they would know where to look for the problem.

Those are probably date codes. Should be no difference in the heads.

I have a C1TE head. One is marked A10 and the other is A15. Is there a differance?
