I've got an (I think) O'Brien Truckers finned oval I bought years ago when I had a tri power on the bird. Never got around to doing the work to make it fit. Send me an email if your interested, and I'll dig it out and measure it. If it'll work, I'll give it to you for building a great looking Y-Block. As mentioned, don't forget the oil line. I left the rubber out of the fitting and only used the ferule, and it took me a week to figure out why it ran out of oil pressure 5 seconds after it started. Worse, that was the days when I could remember things.

Nice looking engine but did you forget the oil pump pick up or is this a mock up for pictures?

Gary: Look at the photo again, it's the canister vent shown. Looks like the down tube has been trimmed..

Wow, great looking Y-block.  What type of crank case vent are you using if any?

Thanks

Your oil pressure hookup can be any one of the 3 passages along the oil filter side of the motor. They are all main feeds to the crank.Whichever one gives room to install the line.Mine is the one ahead of the oil filter where it is installed originally.

I have two questions, first, what do you guys think would be best on a tri-power? three 4 1/2" air cleaners or a large oval that would cover all three? Second, where is the best place to run the oil pressure line? The 292 that I just put together does not have a port where the original 272 does. (just above and to the rear of the oil filter) Thanks.
