I just came across a pair of 256 Yblock heads from a machine shop that is trying to sell them for $200. They have been reconditioned and all new valves and guides. Assuming these will work on my 256, are they also interchangeable on 292 blocks? The ID on the heads is EVB-6090A.

the casting #should be EBV not EVB. their 55 truck heads.if you have a 54 engine they are not a good fit but i have early heads on later engines.

I will call the machine shop in the morning and confirm the correct head numbers are EBV (55 Truck Heads). My block ID is EBY 6015. Head ID's are ECG-D. Dampener ID is ECG. If I understand correctly, the rebuilt heads I found are not recommended for my block. I can get them rebuilt for $200 so I want to be sure before I pass up a good deal. Thanks for your input.
