Wasn't going to post these until the auction was over, but after we all balked at the $560 that the last ebay set brought, I thought these were worthy of a bowl of popcorn...already north of $600 with 2 days left. They are nice, but wow...spendy. w~~_12.JPG)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110661994949&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT I had mentioned in another thread that I picked up a nice Weiand set up, but that same week I also scored a set of extremely rare Edelbrock covers for an early Caddy that will (with adaptors) bolt to the 478" Caddy in Earl. Though they aren't Y-block related, I figured you might dig a quick picture Oh, yeah...they came back stateside, from SWEDEN!

Have been watching them as well. Irrational exuberance?

And somebody is probably going to try to disguise a scrub under them. They will pay the big bucks for bolt ons to hide their cheap motor.

Y block Billy (3/19/2011) And somebody is probably going to try to disguise a scrub under them. They will pay the big bucks for bolt ons to hide their cheap motor. Were it me trying to do that, I'd just buy a set of the new Edelbrock covers and mill them for "dummy" (pun intended ) wing nuts...

I can't believe it. I had a guy email me after I posted on my WTB: ad wanting $600 for a set of 'nice' polished edelbrock valve covers. I think people are loosing their minds.

It just doesn't mean that much to me, I'll settle for a $200 set of Moon's.

Wow, stating price was $39.50... That guy should be a Happy Camper. mctim64 (3/21/2011)
It just doesn't mean that much to me, I'll settle for a $200 set of Moon's. I like the "No-name" Moons better anyway, besides Edelbrock isn't paying me to advertise for them anyway...

They are nice but I wonder how desirable they would be if the weren't so highly prized and sought after. I mean If they were in production again and you had a choice between a new edelbrock and a new new moon would people still pay the extra? There usually is an amount of competivness that make this stuff valuable.
