I was going to change the cam thats in the 351 thats in my 55 but have been thinking it would be a waste of money since that cam wont be good for the next car it will go in so after I get my 66 f250 painted I will get the 292 on the stand and get it apart so I can see what it needs,I am still going to see if I can find a 292 or 312 that had been rebuilt or low enough miles that it could be dropped in and not have to go through before I tear into the 292 I have. The 351 developed a issue after the trip to Florida and the builder has a questionable reputation so before it goes in my 65 custom 500 I might have to completely tear it apart and inspect everything,it always had some valve train noise and I am concerned the lifter bores might be a little worn but now I hear a little clatter for about a minute after start up even with great oil pressure so who knows what is going on but I think it will get me by untill I can get a Y block to put back in it.

I know someone with a 55 country squire that is wanting to go with a 302 and if it has a 4 bbl 272 I might put my 55 back all original.
