I got hold of a "scrap" oil bath aircleaner.I gutted the lid and it will fit my "restored" base(the main part).I know some of you have simply added an aftermarket aircleaner inside the oil bath housing.I would like to find an element that will fit before I buy another aircleaner. As far as I can measure it needs to be 4.75 in tall,10 in OD and 8 in Id.anyone know an element # for this? Thanks!

Mark -This method is weird - but I have used it before......

Go to this site...  www.knfilter.com   and at the upper left there is a choice of searching for filters by dimension.

If you use the exact criteria you gave us - you will get no results - but instead enter:

(1) a height range of 2.00 inches to 6.00 inches

(2) an ID range of 8.00 to 9.00

(3) an OD range of 10.00 to 11.00

There will be shown a selection of K&N parts (with dimensions) to look through - but the RH column shows the vehicles and model years the filters are intended for. It will allow checking out a cheap paper equivalent from your local auto parts supplier........maybe all you'll need is a spacer - or a pair of filters RTV'd together.

I used to have a bookmarked site where you could get bargain pricing for the K&N filters but it has shut down. It is worth looking for one though...

Hey Steve! I found that site before and it would not work using exact dimensions.Did what you suggested and it works well.Got a couple of filter #'s which stacked together give what I am looking for.Cross refenced to Fram no problem. Thanks

The 2 numbers that SEEM to be the ones that will work IF my measurement is correct are CA 6306 10x8x2.5 high and CA 184 10x8x2.25 high. Now I got to hope someone locally has these on the shelf or is willing to order them in on spec and see if they will work.Stay  tuned folks!
