Any suggestions for finding a pair of threaded hook bolts to replace the OEM bolts that go to the rear tank straps?  Mine were so rusted I had to cut through them to get the old tank off.

Is there a suitable replacement at a hardware store?  Or do I need to order special from some place?  I didn't get a chance to go look around today so I thought I ask before I waste hours wondering around town...maybe someone can tell me right where to go?

Mac's shows then in their catalog, but if they look like the ones in the catalog then you can get some plain steel rod, bend it and thread it.

Do you think I'd have to do anything special (heat treat) to ensure the rod would keep the bend?  A full gas tank can be pretty heavy and I hate for them to let go after a few big pot holes.
