Hey Chuck:  Wendover, Me.???  It's Limestone isn't it?  When I was a much younger man, I llved in Caribou Me. which is just a short hop away and Loring AFB was operational in those days./

Jeez! I have no idea where the Wendover reference came from. Seemed right when I typed it. Maybe it was the Air Force Base that tripped me up. Anyway you are correct its in the Caribou/Presque Isle area. Chuck, still confused, in NH

My Brother and I may be going, have some friends that went up last year and they said it was a riot. Fitting that and Columbus shortly after may be hard convincing the wife though.

there was a big junk yard at limestone that closed around 90.they had a big auction on whatever was left,a lot of people around here went.i didnt make it myself due to pressing problems at the time.i was told a lot of the cars came from an air force base.i have a 58 edsel parts car that came from there.i guess it was something to see.was you ever there?

There is a big junk yard up there somewhere, there is a guy posting with cars for sale from the yard for the longest time in our local "Uncle Henry's Digest". He list them as cars for nostalgia racing, too far gone for street.
