I have a new replacement carb for my 57bird. Works great. Idles smooth no bucking or surging, choke backs off like it is supposed to, no black smoke etc. However, if the car runs in the garage for just a few minutes the fumes make my eyes burn and my clothes smell like the fumes. I remember the old cars had a better oder than the new ones but I don't remeber the burning eyes etc. Could this possibly just be the new gas mixes we use now or is there someplace else I should be looking?
