I started another thread on the tranny conversion. I started out looking at putting in a C4 but comments from several members make it seem like going to an AOD would be an even better bet. I have heard you have to shorten the X bracing in the frame to make this conversion work. Is this true? Don't really like the idea of a permanent alteration to the car.

Hi Rex; Talk to Gary at Bristol Trans. Costa Mesa, Ca. I talked to him in length and was very informative, did not mention having to cut frame. I'm in agreement , don't like cuting frame. Just put Flaming River Rack and Pinion system in, also did not have to modify frame. Good luck and God Bless Eddie

Just remember - if you don't do a lot of highway driving an OD will not do much good.
