Well, if the repop stuff is only "close" to the original pattern, that's why it is only available in complete sets.  Wouldn't match original correctly.

I have had a sample of the repro stuff, it is close , but the pattern is different, I have quite a bit of extra factory gold trim. I will sell a few pieces to help out, mostly 57 ford, 2 rear quarter pieces for 58.

Just for info; The gold trim on the fenders of my car was damaged at the top, due to corroded trim clips, enough to be visible below the upper stainless trim. Trying to find good replacements in my area did not pan out. As I understand it there is or was only one supplier of new pieces, in full kits only. I don't have a current  vendor or price, but presumably quite expensive. My car was recently in the paint shop so all the trim was off. To others who have experienced this situation, if the top of the trim is not to badly corroded, when reinstalling the body side trim, (after a good cleaning with a metal polish) I found it possible to carefully raise the  Gold trim about 1/4" to 5/16" & successfully hide the corroded areas. Replacing the offending clips or coating them with a rust inhibitor is recommended also. By the way, the only supplier of original trim clips that I've been able to find, is Dennis Carpenter in N.C.
