I have a correct Holley teapot dual quad setup on my '57 T-Bird. Was running great with no problems (carbs rebuilt last year). Last week, after driving 40 miles, I stepped on the gas after sitting at idle at a traffic light. Then stumble & stall, twice. I assumed the cups on the accelerator pumps were bad & changed them (one was off the stem and they both were enlarged due to the ethanol content) & no change in performance. I then adjusted the dashpot screw with no change. I then adjusted the 4 idle screws & still no improvement. I finally upped the idle approx 100 rpm via the throttle stop screws & no more stall. Is that the correct fix? Does the engine idling at approx 650 rpm in Drive take me into the main metering system from the idle system?
Thanks
