What kind of spark plug boot is anyone running Sanderson Headers using? I have MSD 8.5 wires and 90 degree boots but they are pretty close to the header flange at the head. The stock heat shields don't fit well. I am thinking of fabbing some sheet metal to fit but don't know if it would be enough to keep the boots from burning.

Thunderbird headers?  Was there more of a problem with one side more than the other?  The set of Sandersons I had on the dyno were close but not a problem with a little routing of the wires.  Here’s a picture.
