I have removed the pan on I6's without lifting the engine. nothing that late model though. you may have to rotate the crank by hand while removing to clear rods and counterweights.

If I remember correct that is a one piece gasket it will come out by dropping the pan and working it between the pan and the block I think you can change the oil pump the same way. Floyd

Y-Guys: Need a little help! My '93 E-250 Van 300 6cyl needs the oil pan gasket replaced and oil pump, while I'm there. Question, all the Great Ford minds on this site, Will the pan & pump come off without lifting the engine or? All info is appreciated. Bill
