Guys can you re-torque heads? Just wondering as I have a few very small leaks. I would say the heads have never been off the ol' gal, has the fine steel shim.

Rob

Would doubt that retorquing the head would be the way to go. Would be much better to remove heads, reface them and put new head gaskets on. Retorque the new ones after a good warming up run.

Would also give you the chance to completely clean out the pesky oil feed to the rockers.

Just thought I would ask the question.. If it comes to taking the heads off then its probably time to pull the motor and do the lot.. Thats where you come in Rick!  BigGrin
