I think an Offenhauser 3x2 intake would make a good starting point for a blower manifold. Either cut the top open and weld in a new top, or cut the dividers between the throttle openings and use the existing top.

A fab'ed intake or a set of Ted's scrub adapters and it would work. Looks great, what about a cheap fiberglass  hood for the bird with a cutout for the blower. Keep the orginal and it would be easy to put it back stock if you ever wanted to.

This is the Weiand blower I've been looking at for ideas .......

This one is for a Chebbie - the small block Ford units driveshaft is offset to clear the front mount distributor. The mounting adapter for the blower to the intake manifold is subject to invention - needs to place the snout in the right spot to create the proper pulley alignment. One really nice feature is that the carb mount is directly on the body of the blower. I have seen pictures of one that had two sidedraft Webers fitted to get the profile down. The blower housing itself is about 1/2 to 2/3 the height of a GMC style unit.

The only way to get this thing on my T-bird is to leave the hood off - which is a time honored tradition with Ford roadsters anyway!!! But it might fit nice on a fifties sedan...........

Which makes me want to ask - why don't more people use the little 144 series Weiand  blowers? I've seen several, on shoebox Chevies and pickups with a little more room under the hood - seems like an ideal Y-block accessory to me. Weiand used to sell the small block Ford version pretty cheap and I've looked them over several times. What sort of surgery do you suppose would be required to put a modified four barrel manifold under it? Even the old teapot "A" manifold (which you can usually get pretty easily) would work when the pressure starts to rise.

You peek around the blower. Actually that problem caused a lot of problems in a lot of states. Many don't allow it. Chuck
