Last year I installed a AOD transmission on my Y block using a Bendtsen's adapter ...  the flexplate cracked were it bolts on to the crankshaft from hole to hole ... I installed a new flexplate in Sept ... in Nov it start sounding like it cracked again ... have anyone else had any problem like this

Sounds like an alignment problem between the engine and trans.  You may have to put a dial indicator on the rear of the crankshaft and indicate the hole in the trans.  Check for concentricity and squareness.

Did the flex plate adapter fit tight on the end of the crank? I had to have mine machined a bit to fit. Is yours all the way down tight? Chuck

I have the same setup. I haven't had any issues with that area, but would be interested to hear more what you learn. Have you contacted Bendstens yet? Hope you can get it resolved and let us know.

I have the same adapter for my E4OD/292.



Did you speak to Bendtsen about it? He may have others who have the same problem....
