Supercharged Group: Forum Members Last Active: 7 Years Ago Posts: 178, Visits: 5.0K	My 56 Merc is an original overdrive car and as such has a 4.09 rear end ratio. I would like to drop down to a numerically lower ratio like in the 3.50 to 3.30 range. Does anyone know of a source for these gears ? I believe these rears are Dana 44's and they still put Dana 44's in Jeeps. Same rear or different animal ? Pete
