Dont put the oulet of the hose in the back of the manifold. You will have a lean mixture in rear cylinders. You could drill and tap manifold as close to carb as possible and install a fitting for the hose or use a screw-in PCV as the 62 truck Y-blocks had and use an elbow in the hole in the pan.You might also be able to use a carb spacer from mid 60's 289-302 which has a PCV inlet in the spacer. Not sure if its same base as yours.Someone else might know.

Hey all! I know this is a question that has been answered before but I just cannot find the previous post.

So, I have a 58' 292 with stock intake and two barrel carb. The Valley pan has a hole in the rear where the road draft tube went but I don't have it. I want to do the pcv set up but I just cannot figure out the best way to do it. I have been told to put a pcv in the rear valley pan, attach rubber hose and send to carb, but I dont have a place to plug into the carb. I have also been told to put the PCV in  the hole and send to the rear of the Intake. What would be the easiest and most cost efficient way to do this?

Also does anybody know sombody who works on 292's in Central CA?
