Been awhile since I've posted and now actively building a '29 Coupster with a 292, t-5, and 3.55 posi.  Have JM's 280 cam, so should do OK on the street.  To fit the engine in, I had to move the front x-member about 3" forward and will have to dimple the firewall a bit for the dist.  I made my own motor/frame mounts for the center of the block mounting which is right below the exhaust ports.  I'd like to run outside the frame headers and exhaust right down the frame rails, which the body overhangs.  I haven't looked at Sanderson yet and Speedway has the Lakes style which isn't too bad.  Just wondering if anyone has seen anything else?

I have a thread going (sort of) on the HAMB "Stuffing a Y-block in a '29" with a few pics of my challenge and getting some good support, but slowed down while getting the right parts to hang the 8" out back and figuring out how/where to put a '37 steering box for cross steer.

I'll get there, but headers are part of the steering thing, so.. if any suggestions, thanks in advance.
