You fail to mention what vehicle. The 55-56 Fords had a single squirter mounted on the hood. The Mercury had squirters that were mounted with the base of the wipers. Chuck

The washers on the early Birds are on the cowl. You should see two little holes just inboard from the wipers. National Parts Depot have everything on page 79 of their online catalog including the red fluid bag, floor switch, nozzles etc. Good luck. ok, if it's tbird-it might be best for you to make a paper template from another bird or pm me and I'll make you one and send it t you. probly be better than a bunch a measurements.
