Ok as all of you have probably seen or read all of my threads, I am building a few cars but I am focussing on this 1960 f100 right now so I can use it as a daily driver around town. I have been trying to understand and gather info on the original trans cooler that is attached to the trans. If you have any illustrations on how they hook up to water pump and what not please post them here. Other then that lets get to the trans and motor.

Ok I pulled the original motor out of the truck. It seemed tired and smoked and leaked from every inch of it. I picked up another 292 with rams horns and a few other goodies along with an air cooled fordo that I wont be using on this. I will be using the original trans on the new motor. My question is What flywheel and flexplate do I need?

Here is the flywheel and torwue converter off of the old motor that I will be using on the new motor.

You can barely see it but here is the flexplate on the new motor from the air cooled fordo. Will I be needing this along with the flywheel and torque converter from the old motor?

Moz, no one repo's them and they are rare as hen's teeth. They were only produced from 58/64 here and since most y blocks of that era went into trucks, not many of them around.

I have been on this site from the early days and I can count the number for sale here on one hand and I owned 3 of them. You have to be careful on ebay because alot of the ones you see on there are the more common alum case two speed flexplates with only 3 mounting holes.
