While I was posting the tidbit about the engine shootout, I still had the TV on and the show Car Crazy was on. Barry was at Rad Rods by Troy's shop they were building a 36 coupe to compete for the Riddler award. I was playing on the computer and not paying alot of attention, just can't get into cars that cost more that I make in 10 years, but I happened to hear them talking about the valve covers so I happened to glance over at the TV and guess what guys, its got a Y Block in it. I didn't get a good look at the engine after then, but it sure looked like a Y. Hope someone else was watching to verify that these old eyes did not deceive me.

It was an aluminum Shelby F.E with fuel injection modified for electronic controls. They made the valve covers use thru bolts like our Y's. It won the Ridler award, probably a $500,000 trophy! Roy.

Well at least it was a ford engine that they tried to make look like a Y Block. It would have been a whole lot easer to just put a Y in it. The sad thing with all that money spent, the car will never get driven.
