Guys....thanks for all the help and ideas. I've added them to my "scrapbook" for future reference. You won't beleive this....it was the BULB. I replace it with a new one, still wouldn't work, so decided it was something else and settled on the turn signal switch which you were very helpful. Before I ordered a new switch I decided to try another new bulb and everything works great. Unbeliveable...again THANKS for all your help.

I was waiting for the light bulb to go on for someone....It's very well possible there is a bad ground connection between the tail light body and socket.....If this was a'57 ford or '57 t-bird this would be my first bet....

Best Regards,

Jeff

From that diagram you would need to swap the white/ blue tracer with the orange/blue tracer position and then also swap the green/white tracer with the green/orange tracer.

I've moved the wires around until my fingers were numb. I'm afraid I would need a picture or diagram to figure it out. Chuck

Just read my post and it may confuse. There are four plugs that the harness lights connect to. Two per side - right or left.

Regards

When changing the switch change one wire at a time from the block. They are easy to cross up and can be a real headache to straighten. My parking lights still come on when I push on the brake and hours of wire switching has never cured it! Chuck

Don't want to seem a smartass, but your problem is easy fixed. The output from the turn signal switch has two circuits per side. The wires for the rear brake lights and rear flashers connect to the circuit going to the rear. You have it hooked up as the circuit going to the front. Just swap the wires on the harness side of the plugs that are both on with the turn signal on. You should have at least four connectors. On my 55 and Oz 58 this group of plugs is just under the dash by the ignition switch.

I hope I have explained it well enough.
