I also use the 3M weatherstrip adhesive, it's good stuff. As far as calking goes, I use 3M strip calk. It's black and comes in long, flat ribbons about 1/2" wide. You break off what you need and shape it the way you want. Good stuff.

3m weatherstrip adhesive is pretty good, and available at most autoparts stores.

You wouldn't believe all the pieces of rubber, brightwork, fuzzy stuff, etc involved in removing/replacing son's Breezeway window in his Merc...!  Once I get all the rust taken care of, its going back in the car; it even goes up and down as intended; Daniel made sure of that!

I'm looking for a recommendation on a caulking-like product to use when reinstalling the window and all its parts in an effort to make it weatherproof.

anybody got any ideas on something that works?  Guess I could use something from Home Depot... but I'd really like to find something that works as good as possible.

thanks,Mark
