The heads I posted about in the street forum didnt have any meaningful letters/numbers, except on the deck side. They wouldnt be able to be seen unless the heads were removed.
Mike, located in the Siskiyou mountains, Southern, OR 292 powered 1946 Ford 1/2 ton, '62 Mercury Meteor, '55 Country Squire (parting out), '64 Falcon, '54 Ford 600 tractor.

Some head casting marks are under the front corners of the heads, near the coolant crossovers. Other casting numbers may be covered by the exhaust manifold gaskets.

The only number I could find on the heads was B 26.

I was only able to get the number off the block itself. Its EBU 6015 F. Still haven't been able to get it off the heads. Gonna try when I get home.

I wasn't able to spot the head numbers. But I did notice my heads and block were both painted red. My oil pan valley cover and the front of the motor are painted yellow. I'm starting to think I have a frankenstein under the hood.

I'm at work now. But I'm gonna go out on my lunch break and get the numbers off the heads. I'd stuff myself if they were 312. But I don't think I'm that lucky.

a friend had a 55 sunliner with a 292.everything was correct except one head had small plugs.everything else was 55.it ran fine for years.

I believe the ECZ A would seal to a 239 head. The reason being I just tore down a C2AE block, with 239 heads, and a late model 2 bbl intake. The late model 2 bbl has even larger ports than the A. The seal on the back side needs to be measured with a caliper. VERY thin. But the engine looks like it saw full good service in some heavier truck application. I'll get some pictures for a different thread.

What are the numbers on the heads?
