I have a stock 239 in my 54 ford. I checked the part number on the manifold. Its a ECZ 9425 A. I didn't think that intake would work on a 239. I was looking to pull the 239 out and putting a 292 in. Does this mean I can use that intake on my 292?

Is it a 4 barrel manifold.  It would bolt on, but would be very close to not sealing around the ports.  If it is truly an ECZ-A, it will bolt right on your 292.  Are you sure it is not an ECG-A?

Very sure its a 239. I've replaced the fuel and water pump on it. I'm pretty sure those two parts are one year parts. They were a pain in the ass to find.

Even if your block is a 239 that don`t mean the heads are. Pete

I never thought about that. I'll have to take a look tomorrow after work.

I believe the ECZ A would seal to a 239 head.  The reason being I just tore down a C2AE block, with 239 heads, and a late model 2 bbl  intake.  The late model 2 bbl has even larger ports than the A.  The seal on the back side needs to be measured with a caliper.  VERY thin.  But the engine looks like it saw full good service in some heavier truck application.  I'll get some pictures for a different thread.
