To add to what Pete has mentioned, you’ll need to verify exactly which ring widths are required in your pistons. Many of the older Jahns pistons used the original ring widths of 5/64, 3/32, & 3/16. But it’s entirely possible that your set of pistons is different than this. Once you’ve determined this, then either going through the ring selections in the catalogues or getting with the ring manufacturers themselves can get you a set of rings.
Rule of thumb for ring end gaps is 0.004” per inch of bore for the top ring and 0.003” per inch of bore for the second ring. Maintain at least 0.015” gaps on the oil ring rails. Boosted or nitrous applications will require more gap.
Ted, so far the ring gaps are close to the Hastings Ring End Gap Factor chart that I have linked above, .008" for circle track, mine are coming in at .032"-.035". I guess I should get some new rings.
I will be running a Offy 6 X 2 or a Edelbrock 257 with Edelbrock 1405 carbs but I'm not a big fan on how they look on the intake and would like to replace them with the Carter WCFB so with that said I would trade my Ed's for the Carters.
Thanks again all, I will keep you updated on this vintage build.
