Would there be any adverse effects of swapping the 292 damper for a 239 crank pulley? I need to keep the high mount fan in my '55 F250. Thank you.

Probably won't change anything you would notice, unless the 239 pulley is out of balance for some reason.

Had one on my 55 f100 for several years now. Not a problem. I wouldn't use it for competition or anything with way high rpm.

Correct me if mistaken, but I thought 239s pulleys are not a Damper design?

Paul: You are correct, but for truck usage the lack of damper will not be a big deal. Some trucks produced after dampers were built still used solid pulleys.
