I am running original 94s but a buddy has a 3x2 of the new edelbrock 94s, he is a big fan and does not get a lot of the leak down common to the originals. He is running a pretty mild cam on a flathead and swears by them. I know they are pretty pricy at about 375 each, but no complaints from him. I have found getting cores is pretty cheap for spare parts for mine and with some tweaking and phenolic spacers I get about the same performance with originality for less money but slightly more cussing. I don't think you will go wrong with them, just depends on the depth of your pockets.

Can't the old one be repaired? Rethreaded a size larger or filled and drilled? Chuck

Which screw is bad? Rethread for a one size larger screw? Sometimes you can use a piece of wire in the hole to give the threads a new grip. Maybe some JB weld in the hole then put the screw in. Of course it may be difficult to remove in the future. There are lots of ways to repair a screw especially if its not carrying a load. Chuck

You might try Charlie Price at Vintage Speed. He is the master of 94's and has all the little parts that you can't find elsewhere. He may have something to cure your problem. http://www.parts123.com/PartFrame.asp?ZTM=cadegdha&GHOME=www.vintagespeed.com&TITLE=VINTAGE_SPEED

If it is the front screw to the bottom of the bas I had some pretty good luck a few weeks ago tapping it for a 7mm which was enough to get good thread but not too much to interfere with the flange. No issues and took about 20 min and zero dollars. The JB weld drill and tap is the fall back course of action. I did have to open up the base a little with a round file.
