We did an order about water cut copper head gaskets awhile ago to local shop and now I have the first set ready. If someone is interested about similar items, we can deliver. Those are straight 0.039 inch thick plates and must be assembled with PERMATEX 80697 or other similar glue on both sides.
From the left: Old used gasket, two new copper items and a wooden trial gasket to see that all holes were in right places and right sizes. And, as I have the necessary file to make those, thickness of the plates can be choosen for your needs to lower or increase compression.

Interesting idea! Appreciate your offer, Seppo... Minimum order? Ballpark figure for price per set of gaskets? Shipping cost to be added, I realize. P.S. enjoyed looking at your website. Neat! Regards,

Price depends of the thickness of the copper. How thick plate is in your mind? I think shipping must be done between two wooden boards so that gaskets don't bend or twist and that adds a little weight to shipping. 0.039 thick plates will be around 160 dollars / set + shipping. Minimum order is one set. ( ok, they can cut only one too if needed )

I dunno! It is possible they had a wrong sheet in a cutting machine . Maybe 160 dollars is a little cheap price of a solid gold head gasket set?

Not questioning the price, Seppo. Copper is sky high here! Individuals are breaking into empty houses, buildings, and closed businesses stealing plumbing lines to sell for scrap value in my area. Too, the business doing the fabricating for you has to make something for their time and overhead expense. I'm just pondering the ins-and-outs of using copper instead of the composite gaskets and what thickness would be 'good'. Again, appreciate the offer, whether I follow-up on it or not. I'll use your e-mail address from the above posting to contact you going forward. Regards,

To ins and outs, Pros here told me not to use copper at the street driven crocery getter but at racing purposes it's ok. As to composite gaskets, Cometic which is known about their good quality gaskets, they don't have Y-block gaskets. Also, lots of people use Permatex with standard gaskets too and have had good experiences with that.
