Simple Green & fine grit sanding sponge. The sponge works better than steel wool since you can abut the non-abrasive portion of the sponge against the painted wheel. Chemical formula of DiamondBack whitewalls allows extra easy cleanup. Michelin cores are also terrific! Great ride, handling, AND reliability.

Ive alsomused a product called krud kutter. Avail at a hardware store, and pretty cheap.

Ive used sos pads as well, the krud kutter is just easier.

Simple Green. Wet the tire, spray with Simple Green, do all four then back to the first with a fairly soff brush that wet then scrub and rinse. I used to use the bleachy stuff and have used Simple Green for the last 4 or 5 years and really like it. The wide white don't get "chaulky" and don't dry out...hope this helps. Jim

I'm very pleased so far. Car handles very comfortably in freeway traffic at speed. Firm ride without being harsh. Predictable and responsive handling on curving roads. The front suspension is newly rebuilt and factory p/s added to my '54 Merc. The car is now a joy to drive. The tires also look great.

I recently purchased a set of Diamond Back WWs and they were very specific not to use bleach or Westley's Bleche White. their recommendation was S.O.S pads and water. I have found that to work very well.

A flea market vendor once showed me how to clean a whitewall with brake fluid on a rag.  Cleaned the white, but I don't know about any long term effects.  I didn't buy the tires from him anyway.

I need feed back on the different products used for the cleaning & preserving the WWW tires I myself have used Bleach white but after a few yrs I have noticed on my tires that the white walls have fadded & are showing small minute cracking/ checking. Any opinions or suggestions on this subject would be appreciated.
