Bird,

the short answer that nobody seems to be giving you is NO!  The headers for the Bird are similar to the passenger car in that they exit to the rear of the engine compartment. The car and the Bird have motor mounts and a crossmember where the truck headers exit. Trucks use a mounting system on the transmission and at the front of the engine, leaving that area open. You'll need headers made specifically for a "little" 'Bird.

I bought some tri y's from reds headers and feel they didn't flow any better than the stock headers that were originaly off my t-bird several years ago. The quality at that time was not there and felt it was wasted money. They may be better today I just don't know. The set I had had flash still obstructing the flow inside and seemed unfinished. I sold them a little later at a large lossSick

I bought some from Sanderson and they wont work . The collector empties right on top of frame. Cant get pipe to fit beyond that. Need some that bypass the frame or are shorter. Was looking at RED'S but most of them look crappy. the ones for the truck are what I would like but they say they wont fit but wont say why. I guess its the $200.00 difference in price for the bird headers . As they say "onward". Thanks Birdman

Red's has some "Dual Tube" headers that look much better than their standard headers.  I think, with a Bird, you may have some other choices.
