My front pinion cover has no place for an oil seal, just reverse spiral grooves in it to control the oil. Is this suficant or should I replace it with one that has a seal.
Here again anyone got one
Thanks

I’m guessing you’re talking about the front bearing retainer or the throwout bearing collar on the front of the tranny? While I prefer to use the retainers that have the seal, I really haven’t had an issue with those that did not have the seal provision. Regardless of which front bearing retainer you have, it’s important that the transmission not be overfilled with oil.
