Hi all,

I have a 292 y-block and 3sp cruise-o-matic tranny in my '59 galaxie. I ordered up a transmission filter for it from Rock Auto and they sen thru the ATP kit, part number B33

So I got my tranny oil pan off and the filter is quite differant to the new one I have, and the new one wont fit at all.

googling turns up the B33 as the solution but there is no way it will fit!

anyone else come across this problem?

Cheers, Taff

Is there an ID plate on the side of the tranny?Could be a different year or transmission even.If you go to Macsantiqueauto.com site they have pics of the various pan gaskets used.Might help identify what you have if the gasket you got is wrong also.

I had only a steel mesh filter in my tranny just like B33 if I remember right. I just cleaned it in the dishwasher and my wife was pretty mad about thatSmile.
