The switch is accessible from under the car.  It is up among the transmission, crossmember, shifter, etc.  It's doable, but aggravating.  Keep in mind that the Bird will only start in N, not in P.  They're made that way.

Hi my Buddy just pick up a 57 Bird with no Neutral sw, he has been told that it is hard to replace on the birds I have done them on the passanger cars but never a Bird what is involved?
