A word to the wise! On Aug.14th Holun posted in classifieds for a replacement carb body, due to a stripped accelerator pump nozzle thread. I've experienced the same problem with an older 2 barrel 2300 carb. There is minumum thread on the holdown screw, especially if you install 2 gaskets on it as illustrated in one carb kit. It does not take much to strip the threads. In my case I managed to repair it with J.B. Weld. Then I used one gasket, on the bottom & Permatex on the top taper. So far it seems to be satisfactory...
