Ok i am a bit lost, I have a bone stock 272 engine with a 2 barrel carb in my 56 f100. I would like to change the manifold to accomodate a 4 barrel carb or tri power. as far as I know from what I have been told..is that if i make that change I must get a new distributor for a 57 y block. is that a must for either project? i have recently been told that if just want to change to a 4 barrel carb with a 4 barel manifold that a new distributor is not necessary. can anyone help with this.
