The Canadian $ has been moving towards par for about 1-1/2 years. It's there now & has been above the Greenback at times  recently. So, how is it that the major magazines such as HMN at $2.51 premium/ issue, & Legendary Ford at $20.00 premium for 6 issues, have not adjusted there prices?!  Sorry, despite the urgings of this site, at these prices it will be a "frosty friday" before I'll be subscribing to Legendary Ford!..

Hey!!!  A new idea!!!  We can use our fast street Y cars to haul illegal liquor to Canada to sell.  Make big money.  Oh, wait.  I think that is not a new idea, hauling illegal liquor with a fast car.  I think that was done back during the 40's and 50's in the southern US.  Gee, I just lost another small fortune.

Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River, Erie & Lake Ontario are full of busted whiskey bottles and sunken "Rum Runners" from Canada. Prohibition was big business for Windsor and Detroit, and Buffalo, etc. Many of the biggest names in the boating industry, including Chris Craft got a start from building fast liquor carriers for the Mob. Then they sold  faster boats for the Government "Revenuer's" to chase them with. Nice business for Michigan 'till Roosevelt screwed it up by abolishing Prohibition!!BigGrin

Gary, when I manage to track down Chris Larsen, I'll run his tooling and make that cover. Everybody liked the design.
