Okay....so I scraping off all the crud from a bellhousing (another Epay purchase) that I had stashed for years and come to find that one of the alignment holes is cracked almost in half. There is still enough radius to grab the pin but not by much.

So, with the other alignment hole in good shape, I guess the question is should I try to weld it or leave it alone? I can't weld cast iron, but I know someone who can. If I do have it welded, should I try using a 3/8" stainless bolt to weld around? Seems like that would provide a true center rather than completely welding in the area and trying to drill it out.Rono

I would leave it alone, it will still align the housing ok. Smile

I agree that leaving it alone will work just fine. If I were to fix it I would have it welded up leaving as much of the hole as possible and use a round file to open the hole back up. Put a stainless bolt and try to weld around it and you will likely weld the bolt also.
