Okay....so I scraping off all the crud from a bellhousing (another Epay purchase) that I had stashed for years and come to find that one of the alignment holes is cracked almost in half. There is still enough radius to grab the pin but not by much.
So, with the other alignment hole in good shape, I guess the question is should I try to weld it or leave it alone? I can't weld cast iron, but I know someone who can. If I do have it welded, should I try using a 3/8" stainless bolt to weld around? Seems like that would provide a true center rather than completely welding in the area and trying to drill it out.
