Hello Folks, I am trying to find out what transmission options I have. I bought a 292 Y Block out of a 64 F600 Bucket truck and am wondering what transmission options are out there. I got the 4 speed granny low trans with it, but would like something else. Please let me know and thanks in advance!

Howdy,

(For gosh sake! Don't search for a "Tranny" on the internet!!! w00t w00t )

Are you looking for a trans that will bolt directly to the bell housing or what? (this is for a truck?)

There's not a LOT of choices. T-98, Fordomatic, Clark 5 speed to name only a few.

If you use a adapter, you have other choices. (I am using a Bentsen adapter + a Ford E4OD) It also works with an AOD.

There's other adapters out there.

Depends on what you'll bolt it to.

Cheers,

Rick

Oh,

Welcome aboard!

Hey thanks for the reply! Yeah I tried to change the title and couldn't lol. I have got the truck bell housing from the 64 F600 and am looking for a different bell housing. From what I have heard and read it is easier to find another trans to fit the car bell housing. THanks again for the help.
