I must be missing something here, but I can't figure out what. I know there is a difference between the truck and car timing covers, but I'm not sure what all the differences are. In this case, I'm putting a car timing cover on a truck (C2AE) block. The bag of bolts I found labeled "Timing Cover" had three 3/8" bolts that were almost 3&1/2" long for bolting near the base of the timing cover. The other bolts were all 5/16" bolts. The 3/8" bolts are WAY to long to use. I went with 1&3/4" bolts and everything is fine (I think). So, is the truck cover thicker across the bottom or am I missing something else? The car timing cover seems to line up okay, but do I have to use a truck timing cover with the truck block?
Thanks,
