Does any one know if the clutch rod stabilizer bracket for the 54' with a Y-block is mounted the same as the 53' with a flathead?



On the flathead, the bracket mounted to the bell housing or back of the block and the ball was on the release bar. I can't find a pic of the 1954 or 53' assembly anywhere to save my life. After I got my Y-block, I traded most of the flathead parts of for body pieces so I don't have them to reference anymore... I even have a Chilton's from 53' that is 4" thick and it's not in there. I'm putting a 292 in my 53', and I'm wondering if the same brackets will bolt up to the Y, if I have to find parts from a 54' or make something?



Does anyone have pics of the clutch linkage from their 54 that I could use as a comparison?
