Minor problem but it's a nagging problem, when i converted my 55 to 12 volt I was pleased with the improvement in the dash light illumination especially the heater control section but now all is fine except the heater control panel, before it glowed quite well with the letters being fluorescent, but now the bulb still burns but the letters are not lighting up.

I did have a bulb to get grounded and blew but I replaced it with a regular 12 volt instrument panel bulb, is there a different size bulb for this socket?



The bulb mounts into a hole above the ash tray.

Claim to fame is the car was used as an extra in the movie Diner with Micky Rourke, Steve Gootenburg, Paul Riser and Kevin Bacon.
