I see that Dennis Carpenter has new repro grilles to suit 55 Fords.
Has anyone bought one of these and if so what is the quality like?

I haven't bought a grill from Dennis but everything I have bought has been excellent quality. He's been around the hobby for a long time as has a pretty good reputation. Chuck

My buddy was looking at that grille too.My only concern is that it is another Chinese produced item.I am hoping someone buys one and reports back.DC stuff is good but since he started outsourcing I really dont know about the quality. He also is in the process of producing parking light bodies for the 56 models.About time as long as the quality is there.

Dennis' son is the one pushing this off shore junk. Spoke to the son at length at Carlisle Fords, he doesn't have a clue. The old man is a class act. I gave him a NOS 57 Body mount and washer about 16 years ago and when they finally brought them to market he gave me a whole set and shipped them free! Ron.

Have not bought much from him but I do know he got all the original ford tooling and molds so anything he makes should be from original tooling.

I bought one for mine....probably the first one they sold. In my opinion, so far anyways, it's a good repro....but this is also my first 55 and when I bought it, it had a tube grille in it. So I don't have a Ford original to really compare it to. Overall the chrome looks good and everything fit well.
