I have a msd ignition and I am Installing a pertronix ignitor but I am not sure what to do with the white wire coming from the msd ignition. The white wire goes to the distributor and connects to the points.

The instructions for the ignitor says to wire red and black directly to the coil. Do I just leave the white wire off? Thanks

I don't know but I'd imagine it's outlined in the instructions. MSD stuff usually have diagrams for using points or electronics as the trigger.

Never mind, figured it out.

The black wire from the ignitor splices to the white wire from the msd ignition.

The red wire from the ignitor goes to the red (small red wire not big red battery wire) from the msd which goes to the ignition.

Had to adjust the timing was off about 6 deg.
