I just put the 292 with dual exhaust manifolds in my '54 Customline.  I don't have exhaust on the car yet and would like to start it up to be able to tune it and move it around.  Does anybody know of any  vendor who sells dual exhaust for the '54?  If not will the '55 dual pipes from the manifold to the muffler fit on a '54.  Really don't want to trailer this thing to the muffler shop yet to get the exhaust put on and don't want to start it without pipes.  Thanks.

Off the top of my head, you could contact Kepitch Mufflers. (or exhaust?) If I recall they stock a lot of vintage replacement exhaust parts.

Butch:

To answer your question, the '55 exhaust system will fit the '54, however on stick shift models, the left exhaust pipe interferes with the equalizer bar.

As Hoosier said, that left side is a problem with the 54 equalizer bar. The 55 and 56 equalizer bars are a direct fit and have the proper shape to clear the pipes.
