I am finally starting to assemble the drivetrain on my project. I have a 292 yblock and a late 70's Falcon (RAT ET JA8)transmission. This is one of the old 303 style transmissions and I am putting this drivetrain into a 27 Model T.

I picked up the correct bellhousing and clutch fork for the yblock and this transmission and that went together pretty easy with minor modification. Now it gets more difficult from what I am seeing.

I was told the throw out bearing should work but from the attached photo it seems way off.

1. The clutch fork from the old 56 f100 bellhousing will not fit on this passenger bellhousing so this photo has the passenger bellhousing clutch fork.

2. The throwout bearing from the old setup does not appear to work. Any idea what year, make and model will?

3. Do you think the pressure plate from the old f100 transmission will work?

4. Will the stock Falcon clutch work with the current pressure plate?

Any hints on next steps will be great.

Craig

If you are using the passenger clutch fork you need this throw out bearing and hub.

I have shown the listing from Macs as they have good picture and part number.

http://macsautoparts.com/1949-59-ford-mercury-clutch-throwout-bearing-hub-set-ford-only-ab-7561-st/camid/F50/cp/JS0R3CHL1082883/

This hub is held on the fork by springs. The throw out bearing you have shown will not work with this fork.

If the clutch plate is the same size as the original for the pressure plate, it should be fine.

Hope this helps.
