I have a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.  Block casting # says B9AE 6015F.  Can anybody tell me the size and the year of this engine?

  Thanks for the help.

Ray, it's a '59-'60 292 In3. I believe if it has ECZ main caps it's a 312 In3??

Your engine has been exchanged at some point. It's a 1959-60 block. Likely a 292, but could be a Mercury origin 312. What color is the block? Could be a clue to what it is, but not for sure..

Thanks for the help I thought my 1955 Ford Crown Victoria had a 59-60 engine but was not sure.  Now I am just trying to figure out if the distributor is from a 1955 or a 1959.

I took of f the dist cap and see it has a ignitor II  part #09T-V4 in the housing.  Tried to look for centrifical springs to let me know it was a 57 or newer disb.  But really can't see much except a plate that the igniter II is attached to.

Could sure use some help trying to figure out what distr. I have.

Thanks,

Ray

If you cant see springs you have a 57+ style distributor. The 55-56 is very obvious when you take the cap off.Cant miss the springs.Theresa pic on your other post.
