Need to know what timing tape to buy for my 57 312. Appears to be 6 in diameter.

Thanks,

I think the closest you will find is the Small Block Ford I think. If you measure the diameter and circumference the tapes are listed with dimensions in the parts catalog. There is not one listed specifically for the Y block as far as I know.Thats how I got one for mine.I just checked some on Ebay. They are listed by the diameter of the harmonic balancer.

I got my timing tape from Summit Racing. It was Mr. Gasket and I think for a 6&3/8" damper.

I got a sheet of multiple tapes and laid out next to the timing marks on the balancer. A 6.375 (6 3/8) was the one that lined up. I used the plastic tape and put on with 3m double sided tape and it is still there 2 years later.
